New Wheels for Your New VW 25

From its inception as a company primarily known for its no-frills Beetle and Microbus models, Volkswagen has more recently emerged as a manufacturer of more upscale vehicles. Fine German engineering is apparent in the Passat, the Jetta, and the Eos convertible of the 21st century. Volkswagen’s small diesel engines are known for their innovation and as the company moves forward, plan on seeing hybrid vehicles offered as well. Even with all their technological advancements, however, the vehicles leave something to be desired in looks. One easy way to modify your car is by giving it custom VW wheels.

Axis, MRR, Petrol and Tenzo are just some of the manufacturers who offer custom rims for various Volkswagen models. Bronze, charcoal, chrome, black/red, and Hypersilver are just some of the options for color while styles vary from the simple to the complex. MRR Wheels makes a set of custom wheels which are both sporty yet elegant, lending sophisticated style to your VW.
While a Volkswagen is great on gas mileage and enjoys superior technology, it should be more than just a run-of-the-mill car on the road. This can easily be achieved with the addition of custom wheels which are engineered specifically for your model. The larger lip and wider tires on a set of new aftermarket wheels will ensure your VW looks its very best.

A New and Cooler Lift to Work 15
Aug
Posted by TheTopCar in Auto Dealer on 08 15th, 2008

Like most people, I drive to work each day. Unfortunately my work isn’t as close to my home as I might have liked, so I end up doing a thirty mile commute each way five times a week. The old Astro minivan doesn’t get horrible gas mileage, but it really adds up because of the sheer number of miles I am cranking out each and every week.

On the weekends I just like to get out on my motorcycle and ride. I love to do day trips; sometimes the day trips even turn into over nighters. It’s a little warm before I get out of the valley, but it is completely tolerable. Sometimes I ride with friends, other times it’s just me and the open road.
Then it dawned on me. Why am I driving the Astro to work when I could be riding the bike? The “cool” factor alone would be enough incentive. But add to that the fact that I get more than forty miles to the gallon on the bike, and I get to use the carpool lane which easily shaves ten or more minutes off of driving. I can’t believe I didn’t come up with that obvious idea sooner. Anyway, the Astro isn’t getting much use anymore.
